I am sad to say that the state of modern politics has gone so far from what our founding fathers had envisioned for our Republic. It is so bad now that there are those in the main stream media(MSM) acting as if there are three eyes growing out of the heads of those who espouse the intent of the framers when there is debate on the role of government. Last night in the post debate interview, the ultra-conservative Sean Hannity attacked Rep Ron Paul of Texas in a most unprofessional manner. Hannity looked like a socialist being told he is about to loose his government sanctioned position in the media. There is a great deal of attack, but no one is talking about the merits of the argument. No one has yet to interview Ron Paul without calling him names or putting words into his mouth. For those on stage to react with such bellicose rhetoric in response to the CIA’s own account as to why there are those in the middle east who want to kill us shows me there is a lot of pandering to what the candidates think the American people want to hear instead of standing on a position with conviction. The display of the Fox News Network in slanting the reporting and the effort made to tell us what we saw in the debate makes me understand now that there is no fair and balanced reporting in the MSM. They can claim all they want, but their actions speak louder than their words. We are witnessing the overt actions of the ruling elite pressuring the MSM to put out a message that is not news reporting but instead has turned into PROPAGANDA. Are we to think after the Republican Debate in the South coverage that we are really getting news? Or are we being fed what others want us to hear? Carl Cameron made opinionated statements in his reporting from the spin room regarding the polling putting Ron Paul in the lead for the majority of the post debate wrap-up. There was also an effort to diminish the Constitutional position of Dr. Paul with respect to the world view of the US. I will no longer support the Republican Party if this is how they treat those who follow the Constitution and the rule of law. I have been a life-long Republican and have defended the position of the party but will do so no longer. I believe that it is important for all Americans to step outside of the box and take a log hard look at the principles of the founders of this country and then decide if we are pursuing interests of the nation or interests of the corporate elite.
